

He is survived by his loving nieces, nephews and cousins. He leaves behind his Grand Nephew Mitchel Burch (Diamyn) and his many beloved family members and friends. He will be sadly missed by his puppies, Romeo and Juliet.
Paul was born in St. Charles Missouri, USA. He lived in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, St. Charles, MO, and Sault Ste. Marie, ON. After his honourable discharge of 4 years with the US Navy, serving as a fuel specialist for the fighter jets, traveling to the Philippines, Japan and the Middle East, he worked in Los Angeles, California as a phone representative and then moved to San Francisco, California. While he was there, worked in construction jobs including building his nephews custom-made bunk bed.
He doted on his nephew and helped his brother, Dan, through his single parenthood. Years later, Paul, Dan and Leo returned together to their childhood home of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Paul continued to work construction jobs, at Kewadin Casino as well as on fishing boats.
Paul was an avid fan of country music including Dwight Yoakum, Johnny Cash, George Thorogood and also attended many Grateful Dead concerts.
Paul will be remembered for his kind, joyful, gregarious spirit who touched the lives of many.
Friends and family are invited to gather at Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East., 705-759-2522) on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Memorial donations (payable by cheque or online) to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
