TIBBLES, Margaret Evelyn – Peacefully surrounded by family at the ARCH on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the age of 88. Beloved mother of John and Richard (Colleen). Cherished Granana of Amy Clarke and Ann Seabrook (Drew) and Nana of Jordan (Melissa) and Cj. Great Granana of Brittany, Taylor, Abby and Great Nana of Ava and Oliver. Loving sister of Shirley Manning (late Austin). Dear aunt of Jim, David, Penny, Bob, Donna and Annemarie. She will be sadly missed by her many friends from the Sault and Pine Island. Margaret was a proud volunteer at the Plummer Hospital for 40 years. Friends may visit at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 6-9 pm. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 11 am. Mr. George Wright officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery. Memorial contributions to ARCH would be appreciated by the family.

Marg Caldbick

Marg was a very gentle person and a real lady. I first met her when Peter, I, and our three children moved next door on Queen St East across from Bellevue park. She was most welcoming and our families became good friends, she says - John and Richard were back and forth and often watched over them when their parents were away. We used to play bridge and she included me in many social events so I got to know all her friends.

Joan Smith

As with Marg Caldbick, the Smith family goes way back with the Tibbles - to the early sixties when both families came to the Soo and took up residence on Queen Street. My son, Garr, and John made the first connection via paper route. From then on we shared many Christmas and New Year's dinners as families as well as summers spent at Haviland Bay and Pine Island. Plus never to be forgotten , Jim's Fish Boils.

Marg Caldbick spoke too of Marg's low key attitude which we all recognized but beneath that there was a strength evidenced in her raising two fine sons, John and Richard, who loved, cared for and respected her through the years. She cared for others and would always engage my children in conversations about their world, talk to me about her children- how they were faring and what was going on in their worlds.

What I am saying is something that we all know and can share.
