CAPLE, Michael Andrew - After a brief and valiant battle with cancer, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Caple at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the age of 47. Mike is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 16 years, Tanya (nee Latta). Proud father to Laura and Jenna. Beloved son of Charles and Sharon Caple. Dear brother of Jeff Caple. Much loved son-in-law of Harry and Barbara Latta. Treasured brother-in-law to Todd Latta (Jacquie) and doting “Unca Mike” to Hailey. Mike held a special place in the hearts of many people, and will be dearly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and his many friends and colleagues. Many will remember Mike through his over 30 years of employment at Rona (Cashway). As the class clown, he was well known for his practical jokes but also a willingness to help with whatever project he could. He was an avid lover of the outdoors and liked nothing better than spending time with his family at their camp on St. Joseph’s Island or on the water around the island. In his youth, he also enjoyed many trips to Ranger Lake, Fly in Fishing camps, or snow machining with his friends. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Mike’s life and legacy will take place on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street E.) between 4 – 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the educational trust for his daughters, Laura and Jenna, or to the Intensive Care Unit at Sault Area Hospital.
