KURKINIEMI, Pekka Tapio - Peacefully with his son by his side at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday, March 16, 2018 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Marketta for 41 years. Loving father of Timo (Leslie), Vesa, late John and Anne. Cherished Ukki of Matti and Michael. Predeceased by his parents Alma and Eemeli Kurkiniemi, brother Matti (late Aino), Risto (Eila) and Mauri. Dear brother of Pentti (Inkeri). Childhood playmate of cousin Ritva-Liisa Tavaila (Pentti). Brother-in-law Matti (Tuula) Laukkanen, sister-in-law Riitta (Martti) Invenius. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Family and Friends are invited for a memorial service at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East – 705-759-2522) on Wednesday March 21, 2018 at 11 am. Pastor Brad Mittlehotz officiating. Reception to follow at Suomi Eesti Maja (721 North St.) at 1 pm. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
