Phyllis Arlene Armstrong

Marissa and family regret to announce the sudden yet peaceful passing of Phyllis on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at the age of 81.

Phyllis was a quiet yet strong force who deeply loved her family, all of God's furry friends and her daughter Marissa above all else.

Phyllis was the beloved 3rd daughter of the late Willard and Mildred Armstrong (McColeman), who she is now reunited with along with her late sister Gerri Ansley.

She leaves behind her most cherished daughter Marissa Morley who was the absolute love of her life.

Left to mourn are her sister Kathy Glemnitz (late George), and brother Willard 'Sonnie' Armstrong (late Caroline). Phyllis adored her many nieces and nephews and was always willing to step in and babysit at a moments notice. No one's birthday was ever forgotten. Leanne Dellavedova (Roger), Derek Ansley, Marty Armstrong (Marlo), Jessica Glemnitz (Andrew), Kelly Armstrong (Luke) as well as many great nieces and nephews are left to mourn their auntie.

As per Phyllis’ wishes there will be no funeral services. Cremation has now taken place. Memorial contributions can be made (by cheque or online) to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society or an animal rescue of your choice. Animals are a gift from above for they truly define the words unconditional love.
