

Manidoo Bizhiki Kwe – Buffalo Spirit Woman - Began her journey, with her family by her side at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the age of 63.
Beloved daughter of the late Blanche and Ronald Theberge. Loving wife of the late Garren Bourassa. Cherished mother of Gary, Dean Bourassa and leaving behind her Fur-babies Chico and JoJo. Now reunited with her siblings late Julia Running (late Gordon), late Maurice Theberge (Terry), late Leonard Theberge (Jean) and late Joyce Fournier (Claude). Rachel will be missed by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Rachel devoted member of the Batchewana Community Rachel took care of many people through her years as a PSW. Always, kind, caring and would go out of her way for many. Putting those she cared for before herself.
Rachel was known for her contagious laugh and kind spirit. She was a phenomenal cook; many still talk about it to this day.
Rachel deeply loved the outdoors, and exploring nature. Spending time with her husband fishing and having shore lunches.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the Nurses and PSW’s of 3C at the Sault Area Hospital. Also, a warm thank you to Brenda Syrette and family and Pamela Pine for being a wonderful friend and support all these years.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton and Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E, 705-759-2522). In lieu of flowers a donation by cheque or online to the Diabetes Association of Canada or the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be appreciated in her honour.
