PULENTE, Rachele – She had an open door and a warm smile for family and friends, especially her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The table was always set, no matter how many came through the door each day. Andrew Street was a second home for all of us. Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital, surrounded by her family on Friday, February 2 , 2018 at the age of 91. Beloved wife for 71 years to the late Giovanni (John). Daughter of the late Geremia and Carmela Luttuoso. Loving mother of Gino (Rosa), late Jimmy (late Sandy), Armando (Teresa), Filomena Maione (Frank), Victor (Brenda), Tony (Penny) and Carmen. Special nana of John (Allyson), Rachel Girardi (Martin), Pina Pacione (Angelo), Phyllis MacIntyre (Chris), Rachel Mauro (Tom), the late John, the late Gina, Phyllis Ladouceur (Jason), John (Terri-Lynn), Gino, Rachel (Ernesto), Lisa Dos Reis (Manuel), Tony Maione (Ashley), John Maione (Nicole), Michael Maione, Jimmy, Jo-Anne (Marco) and Samantha (Bailey). Great nana to 33. Dear sister of Carmelina Caliendo (Pasquale), the late Pina Esposito (late Angelo), Nunziata Esposito (late Francesco), Antonietta Falco (late Guiseppe). Rachele will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and many dear friends in Canada and Italy. Dear Mom

It all started with the hard work and sacrifices you made, when your mom Carmela Luttuoso passed away when you were just 11 years old. Being the oldest you helped take care of your 4 sisters.

You soon met the love of your life and our dad Giovanni Pulente. You got married and had 7 wonderful children, me being the only girl. Your love and devotion to family stayed strong and true, even through the hardest of times. I remember always being happy as a little girl. No matter what challenges you faced, Mom, you were always there for your family with a loving smile.

Thank you for giving me life.

Thank you for instilling all of your knowledge of family life, traditions, morals, values and respect in all of us.

I will miss your beautiful smile and great sense of humour.
