"Grandpa Bob" will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Nicole, Hailee, Rown, Zoey, Angus, Gage, Kaden, Sophie, Nairn, Greyson, Lilli-Anne, Jude and great granddaughter Eisley Ann. He will be fondly remembered by his sisters Cathy and Melanie, and brothers Garry, Gregg and the late Doug Clement. He will finally be reunited with his faithful 4-legged companion Boozer.
Robert was born April 27, 1954 and was raised in Stonecliffe Ontario. He lived and worked in Ottawa Ontario then moved to the Soo in 1974 to pursue a career in the Skilled Trades. In the year 2024 he became a 50 year member of Local U.A. 800 (formerly local U.A. 508) of the International Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters as a Steamfitter.
He worked his way up to a supervisory role where he was well respected and loved by all that had the pleasure of working for him. Throughout his career he made many long lasting friendships working at home and across Canada. He was knowledgeable, meticulous, fair, kind and always looking out for his workers safety and well-being with a strong commitment to the Union Brother and Sisterhood. In the role of Supervisor, he offered every worker the opportunity to succeed.
Bob had many hobbies, with a love for woodworking and was known to be a Jack of all Trades. Above all he was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting but fishing was his passion. There was not a lake in the area that he not explored or cast a line into. He made multiple trips and spent countless hours fishing Rocky Island Lake, enjoying peace and the tranquility of nature, making memories and leaving us with endless tall tales of his fishing adventures and prowess.
Remember me with fondness,
This is not goodbye...
It is "Till we meet again"
At the fishing hole in the sky
