With heavy hearts we remember a remarkable woman whose life was built on love, family and the simple joy of feeding the people around her.
Rosina is reunited with her loving husband Carmen, adored son Mario, precious daughter Frances (late Silvio), and beloved grandson Sonny Gioia (late MaryAnn).
She leaves behind to mourn her son Max Grandinetti (Darlene) and Rosalba Grandinetti. Alongside her sister Gemma from Italy. The love she had for her grandchildren was endless. Kassey Gioia (Kevin), Amanda Grandinetti (Tonino), René Gagnon (Ausra), Carmen Grandinetti (Sarah) and Adrian Grandinetti (Diana).
Nana will be deeply missed by her great-grandchildren Davion, Janiah, Sofija, Lennex, Braxytn, Rylee, Katie, Abby and Jacob.
Rosina will be lovingly remembered as a second mom to Emma Grandinetti and her sons late John, Ozzie and Dave.
Mom gave everything she had to those she loved, especially her friends Ruby, Janine and Lisa. Showing that love mostly through her kitchen where they all gathered. No one left her home hungry. A plate was always ready and there was always room for one more at her table.
Her warmth, generosity and selfless spirit touched everyone who knew her.
“The love of a family is life’s greatest blessing.”
We would like to thank the wonderful staff at the F.J. Davey Home where she made new friends (Anna) and found family (Mili). A heartfelt thank you to the Palliative Care Unit at Sault Area Hospital – 3C for the compassion, kindness and care during mom’s final days.
As per mom’s wishes, a private funeral will be held.
“It’s a beautiful day to fly.”
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (payable by cheque or online) to the F.J. Davey Home would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East, 705-759-2522). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Grandinetti family.
