Mrs. Arnell Ballinger

Mrs. Arnell Ballinger, 93, passed away on May 30, 2012. She spent her early years in Kentucky and attended the Church of Nazarene in Carthage, KY. She moved to Savannah 23 years ago and worked at Mutual of Omaha for many years but would always say her first job was being a “full time grandma”. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Jessie Tarvin; her loving husband of 24 years, Roy Gilbert Ballinger; her son, Vaughn; and her daughter, Yvonne Marie.

She is survived by her son, Rick Ballinger; her daughter, Rita (Paul) Uhlenbrock ; 5 grandchildren, Rick Uhlenbrock, Jackie (Travis) Wright, Kim (Clay) Anderson, Amanda Uhlenbrock, and Hunter Ballinger; as well as 2 great-grandchildren; Trey Anderson and Jackson Wright.

Visitation will be held at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel on Friday from 6-8 pm with a Funeral Service on Saturday at 11:00 am in the Chapel. Burial will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery following the Service.
