
She was born in Savannah, Ga., and was preceded in death by her husband, Constantino Demetrios Cotoulas, and her parents, Nicholas J. Constantine and Myrsine Kouroubakalis Constantine.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox, and St. Barbara’s Philoptochos Society.
She was a graduate of Commercial High School, and served as Church Secretary at St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church for seven years, she was a member of the Church Choir, and was the corresponding secretary of the Daughter’s of Penelope.
She had also worked at the Savannah Letter Shop, as a graphic designer.
Calliope enjoyed working with her hands, crocheting, knitting, arts and crafts, and her passion was drawing.
She is survived by a son, James “Jimmy” Cotoulas, daughter, Mercie Polites (George), brother, John N. Constantine, sister, Evangeline Mastopoulos (Nick), and 2 grandsons, John Polites and James Polites, all of Savannah, Ga.
Visitation: 5 – 7 p.m. Sunday at Fairhaven Funeral Home – Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Ga., 31406.
Trisagion Service: 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Ga 31406 with Father Vasile Mihai and Father John Caparisos, officiating.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church, with Father Vasile Mihai and Father John Caparisos, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
