Mrs. Donna Frill Allen

Donna Frill Allen, 63, of Savannah, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Hospice Savannah with her devoted husband at her bedside. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Leithel Mouser Frill; a sister, Diana Rice. Donna was born and raised in Phillipe, West Virginia and attended local schools. She moved to Savannah in 1967. Donna met and married the love of her life, a marriage that lasted for 47years, Jesse C. Allen of Savannah. Donna was a Beautician here in Savannah for over 35 years. She was a member of Savannah Christian Church where she and her husband, Jessie, were very involved in every aspect of the church life. She was a member of Cuisine Queens, Light House Ministries. She was a cast member and worked in the wardrobe department every year when the church put on the play The Journey. She loved to play softball and played on the softball team sponsered by Payne Insurance. She was also a member of the Women of Worship, American Business Womens Association, and the Order of Eastern Star. In addition to her husband, Donna is survived by a son, Jesse C. Allen, JR (Sandra) of Rincon, GA, a daughter, Julie A. Horton (John) of Savannah, GA; two brothers, Frederick F. Frill, lll, (Louise) of Green Cove Springs, FL, Kelly M. Frill, (Joanne) of Marina, CA, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held for Donna on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 5:00p.m.in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home with Reverend John Tramell officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends before and after the service.
