To Sams family,Sam and I went to school together at Johnson.Although we have been out of contact all these 30 something years I remember Sam with a lot of fondness,near and dear to my heart.May God give you comfort at this solemn time in your life.Sam will be truly missed.Timmy Stevens    Twin City Ga.

"God's got a good one".  Sam touched many people with his humor, determination, wisdom, love for his family, job and life.  He was a mentor to many and a friend to everyone he met. He will be missed.

Our prayers are with the Galletta family.

Sam and his family had become wonderful friends over the past several years.  We met as strangers when we purchased adjoining property near Oliff Pond and have enjoyed many a day passing the hours with this charismatic and kind man and his lovely family.  We will miss the early morning sound of Sam's "buggy" as he drove to our camper to teach Turkey Hunting at its finest.  

The Galletta Family will be in our prayers during this time of loss.

Dear Galletta family, we are so sorry for the hole that is in your hearts due to Sam's passing.May the love of God,family and friends help build a circle around the hole.No matter how much pain Sam was in He always had a smile! Now in God's hand there is no more pain for Him.God Bless you all!

I will remember Sam with a smile and great fondness.  We took many a class together at SCJ.  He was one-of-a-kind.

Sam and I were friends who grew up together on Wilmington Island in the late 60's and 70's. We played sports, fished, hunted, and generally discovered the world together during our early and late teen years. We were inseparable, and I could not have asked for a better friend. Although we fell out of touch as we grew older and our life took different paths, Sam has always held a special place in my heart and my memories. I wish his family the peace of knowing that Sam was loved, made a difference in my life, and left his mark in this world. We are all a little less now. May God grant you peace through this difficult time.
