Mr. Hilton Morgan Nesmith

Hilton Morgan Nesmith, Sr., 85, of Savannah, went to his everlasting home on Monday, May 20, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Geneva Lewis Nesmith. Hilton was born and raised here in Savannah and attended local schools. He was retired from Union Camp Paper Corp with over 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served during World War II and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He leaves to mourn a son, H. Morgan Nesmith, Jr (Mary); a daughter, Lesha E. Nesmith; a granddaughter, Courtney E. Nesmith, all of Savannah; a sister, Ulvine Nesmith of Augusta, GA; a sister-in-law, Edna Cone of Jacksonville, FL; a nephew, Howard Nesmith of Statesboro, GA. The family will receive visitors from 12:00p.m. - 1:00p.m. Friday May 24, 2013 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel Funeral Service, 1:00p.m. Friday in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Claxton officiating, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Garden.
