
A native Savannahian, Stacy was born June 9, 1946, in the old Telfair Hospital to Stacy A. Knight and Hazel Haymans Knight. Predeceased by his wife, Joan Holton Knight, his parents, his paternal grandparents, Benjamin Wesley Knight and Mary Jane Manning Knight, and Maternal Wm. Raleigh Haymans and Beatie Mae Butler Haymans. He is survived by three children: Stacy E. Knight, Jr., Rincon, Ga, Ashley Hazel Knight, Pooler, Ga., Charles F. Knight, Newnan, Ga., Grandchildren; Stacy E. Knight, III, James (Jimmy) Knight, Blake Knight, Brendt Knight, Richard Knight. One great grandson, Kaden Carson Knight. Sisters: Shelia Bob (Phil), Largo, Florida; Debra Hadsock (Douglas), Hampton Roads, Virginia; Alberta Scott (Hugh), Savannah, Ga. Several nieces and nephews. Stacy enjoyed life to the fullest even though he had several disabilities that kept him from his love as a sports fisherman and hunter. He worked in Sales and Contracting in West Palm Beach, St. Pete, and Savannah doing numerous jobs. Thanks to Dr. Nigrea and staff at Lewis Cancer Center, Riverview Nursing Center's staff and friends that didn't forget him in his time of need. A Memorial Service will be held at Fairhaven Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel, on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 11:30 a.m., with Pastor Keyle Waddell of Chevis Oaks Baptist Church and Dr. John Rainwater of Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
