She was born in Savannah, Ga., and was preceded in death by her husband, Attorney James W. Brown, and her parents, Lucille Clifton Bennett and Thomas Dudley Bennett.
She was a member of Burkhalter Baptist Church, and served as Office Manager for her late husband, Attorney James W. Brown, and her son, Attorney William A.E. Brown.
She is survived by her son, William A.E. Brown (Diane), Savannah,Ga; sister, Helen Bennett Savanich (Bucky), and a granddaughter, Christiana A.E. Brown, all of Savannah, Ga., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at Fairhaven Funeral Home – Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with Dr. Charles G. Cooper, Sr., and Father Eric Filmer, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
