Mrs. Nancy E. Evans

Mrs. Nancy Rawls Evans, 73, passed away on June 18, 2013 on Tybee Island. Nancy was born in Savannah, and graduated from Savannah High School in the late 1950’s. She was a member of the Collie Club of Georgia and an avid Falcons football fan. Nancy was an active supporter of animal causes through the ASPCA and Humane Society of the US. She was preceded in death by her father Carl E. Rawls, mother Alma H. Rawls, brother Richard E. Rawls, and daughter Dawn A. Zabawa. Nancy is survived by her son Stephen G. Magune and his wife Susie, daughter Louisa “Lisa” M. Venhaus and her husband Colonel Matt Venhaus, brother Ralph H. Rawls and his wife Mary Jane, son-in-law Howard Zabawa, grandchildren Jennifer Zabawa, Jessica Maze, Amanda Crumpton, Chelsea Maze, Stevie Magune, and Kaitlyn Magune, fifteen great grandchildren, and her beloved Pomeranian Rocky. The family will accept friends from 3-4pm on Saturday at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, with a Memorial Service to be held at 4pm.
