
Phyllis P. Hines, 90, of Savannah, passed away on April 9, 2015 at John Wesley Villas. Phyllis was born October 22, 1924 to the late Fred and Gladys Gray on her family farm in Octa, Ohio. She married her first husband, Robert Gault, and later in life her second husband, Clifford Hines, who passed away in the early eighties. In 1990, Phyllis moved to Savannah where she volunteered at St. Joseph’s Hospital with the Pink Lady Auxiliary, and was a member of Quacco Baptist Church. She loved to watch college basketball, was a huge NASCAR fan, and loved to cheer on Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. She enjoyed her family, friends, and neighbors. She enjoyed the last year of her life with her friends at John Wesley Villas, and looked forward to playing bingo, chatting with the other residence, and trips to the beach for ice cream. She is preceded in death by not only her parents, but her brother Rollo Gray Sr. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ron and Sandi Gault of Savannah, grandson and wife Brian and Kelly Gault of Washington C.H., Ohio, 2 great grandchildren Janaye and Braidan Gault of Washington C.H., Ohio, nieces Mary Lou Wisecup of Sabina, Ohio, and Joanie Baginski and Judy Fry of Phoenix, Arizona, and nephew Rollo Gray, Jr., of Sabina, Ohio. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 18th at Quacco Baptist Church in Savannah. Burial will be held at a later date in Highlawn Memory Gardens in Washington C.H., Ohio. Remembrances may be made in Phyllis’s name to the Humane Society or to Islands Hospice.
