

She was born in Savannah, Ga., and was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Sandt, Jr., and her son, Raymond E. Sandt, III, and her parents, Ossie Ellis Shearouse and Virgie Mary Milligan Shearouse., and a granddaughter, Linda Louise Robinson., and a grandson, Owen Ellis Sandt, Jr.
She was a member of Thunderbolt Baptist Church, where she served as Church Pianist, and was a former member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church where she had formerly served as a Sunday School Teacher, and a Kindergarten Teacher, and was a member of the Women’s LCA Circle., and she was also formerly a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, where she served as Church Pianist.
Shirley was a volunteer worker, in The Gift Shop at Memorial Medical Center, and also played the Grand Piano in the Lobby at the Hospital. She also played the piano at Marshview Nursing Home for the patients, and she played for the Singles Group at the Landings.
Shirley was retired from Trust Company Bank, and also Bank of America.
She is survived by 2 sons, Charles Edward Sandt (Cynthia Marie), and Owen Ellis Sandt, Sr., 2 daughters, Mary Louise Pearson (Charlie), and Karen Ann Hale (Walter), all of Savannah, Ga; sister, Mrs. Camille Shearouse Dixon (Humbert) of Prosperity, SC, 8 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson.
Visitation: 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Ga 31406.
Funeral Services: 2 p.m. Sunday in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with Rev. Marshall Ray, officiating. Interment will follow in Bonaventure Cemetery.
