

Windell Adrian Harkleroad was born in Folkston, GA. on July 9, 1939. He was the son of the late Ida and Daniel “Tuck” Harkleroad. Later they moved to Riceboro, GA. where he grew up. He attended Dorchester Elementary School and then graduated from Bradwell Institute. Windell was a volunteer Fireman for the Midway Fire Dept. Shortly after graduating from High School he enlisted in the Navy. He served our country for three years and then enlisted in the Navel Reserves where he served for one and a half years. He met his wife Frances Hughes and in a few short months they were married. After thirteen years of marriage, Windell and Frances started their family. First came Marianna Clare, who now is married to Lee Landers and they have a precious two month old baby girl, Aria. Daniel Frances was born two years later and soon will wed Kristen Faucette. Windell worked for Southern Bell, then Bell South and finally for Lucent Technologies. He retired from telephone work after 30 years. Windell enjoyed many hobbies, from race cars and model trains, to collecting light houses and currently vintage cameras. He always enjoyed listening to Gospel Music and watching cowboy movies. He was a former member and Past Master of Thunderbolt Masonic Lodge #693. Windell was highly creative and could construct anything he wanted out of wood. Windell was a very generous person and loved sharing what he had. His beloved family also consisted of his brother Marion and wife Nancy, his sister Sue Rogers and husband T.C. Rogers, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 9:30 – 11:00 am Tuesday at Fairhaven Funeral Home Hubert C. Baker Chapel 4715 Hodgson Memorial DR. Savannah, GA. 31406.
Memorial Service: 11:00 am in the Chapel with Father Patrick O’Brien Officiating.
Inurment to follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.
