Giuseppina Pelligra

Giuseppina Pelligra, age 98, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. Born on January 6, 1927, in Pachino, Italy, Giuseppina lived a long and devoted life centered around faith, family, and love.

A proud and faithful member of the Catholic Church, Giuseppina found daily strength and comfort in her spiritual life. She read the Bible every day and held a deep love for God that guided her through every chapter of her life. Her unwavering faith was a cornerstone of her identity and a source of inspiration to those around her.

Giuseppina was predeceased by her beloved husband, Sebastiano Pelligra. Together they built a family rooted in love and care—a legacy she continued to nurture throughout her life. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Nella Geraci and husband Sebastian; son Carmen Pelligra and wife Linda; and son Frank Pelligra and his life partner Joe. Her devotion extended to her cherished grandchildren: Salvatore Geraci and his wife Saba; Daniela Moncada and her husband John ; and Kimberly Pelligra. Giuseppina’s joy multiplied with the arrival of her great-grandchildren: Skyler Geraci, Sabastian Geraci, Isabella Moncada, and Daniel Moncada.

Family was at the heart of everything Giuseppina did. She dedicated herself fully to caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—offering not only support but also unconditional love that shaped generations. Her home was always filled with warmth, delicious aromas from her kitchen, and the comforting hum of sewing or baking—activities she deeply enjoyed. Whether preparing a meal or stitching fabric with care, Giuseppina expressed her love through every thoughtful act.

Her legacy is one of quiet strength, enduring faith, and boundless affection for those she held dear. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
