Rev. Lawrence Joseph Dugo

Peacefully on Sunday, July 16, 2023 in his 99th year. Father was born in St. Catharines, Ontario, November 26, 1924. He was the loving son of the late Augostino and Antonina Dugo and brother of the late Vincent Dugo and his late wife Mary. He is survived by his nieces Maureen, Catherine (Kevin), nephew Larry (Barbara) and great nieces Carly, Emily and Julia. Father was ordained to the Priesthood on June 3, 1950 at St. Michael's Cathedral, Toronto by James Cardinal McGuigan. He served in the following parishes - St. Matthew's, Toronto, St. Brigid's, Toronto and St. Leo's, Mimico. He was Pastor of Precious Blood Church, Scarborough, St. Mark's, Stouffville, St. Dunstan's, Toronto, and St. John's, Toronto. Father was also Director of St. Stephen's Chapel in downtown Toronto. A visitation for Rev. Lawrence Dugo will be held Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Paul O’Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E, Scarborough, ON M1R 2Y8 (416-751-7890). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church, 1737 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto, ON M1R 2X7 at 11:00 AM. A reception will be held immediately following the Funeral Mass in the church hall. Interment Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill, ON L3T 2C7 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
