Matt MacNeil

Matthew Bernard MacNeil, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on February 24th, 2023, at the age of 67. Born on February 12th, 1956, Matt was a cherished member of his community and leaves behind a legacy of hard-work and dedication to his family, friends, and colleagues.

Matt was a devoted family man who loved his wife Pam and their three children, Cody (Amy), Casey (Owen), and Nicole (Tim). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Caoimhe, and cherished every moment spent with her. Matt also had a special bond with his dog Dexter, whom he loved to spoil with ice cream.

Matt was a valued employee at Panavision Canada, where he worked for many years. His commitment to his job and his colleagues was unwavering, and he will be remembered for his hard work, generosity, and good nature.

Matt had a passion for working on cars, and he was known in the neighborhood for his expert skills in his garage. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. His kind and selfless nature will be missed by all who knew him.

We would like to thank his entire team at North York Hospital, especially Dr. Daphna Grossman and Sarah Yip for going above and beyond to care for him.

A service to celebrate Matt's life will be held on March 4th, 2023, at Paul O'Connor Funeral Home. Visitation hours will be from 10:30am to 12:30pm, with the funeral service to follow from 12:30pm to 1:00pm. A reception will be held after the service, where friends and family can gather to share memories and honour Matt's life.
