Martin and Tracey are sad to announce the passing of their loving father, predeceased by his dear wife Mary and beloved brothers Paddy, Denis, Eamon and Tommy. Born in Kells, Ireland, he went to England in 1944 to continue his carpentry apprenticeship. In 1948 he sailed to Australia and worked on many projects including the Woomera Rocket Range. Prior to settling in Canada in 1956, he worked in New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. He was a proud member of the Carpenters & Allied Workers Local 27 and a Business Rep of the Carpenters District Council from 1971 until retirement in 1992. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Mary and extended family in Ireland, England, Australia and New Zealand. Visitation held at Paul O’Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E., on Sat. Oct. 29 from 10:30-11:30am followed by a funeral service.
