Niels Bennetsen Lind

Niels Lind passed away in his sleep on May 10th, 2023 at Scarborough Centenary Hospital, at the age of 92. Niels was the proud Father of Brian Lind and Brenda Cook, Father In-law to Grace Benedetti and Terry Cook. Esteemed Grandfather to Melanie Armstrong, Brittany Cook and Ian Cook. Cherished Pa-Papa to his sole Great Grandson Heath Armstrong. Predeceased by his beloved wife Josephine Lind. He will be dearly missed by his friends in the McDonald’s Community.

Niels was a true family man, who always put family first and was happy to share his family’s accomplishments with others. Niels was a very social man who made friends anywhere he went. He was a talented innovator, problem solver and tradesman. Niels was known for his love of history and coin collecting.

A visitation for Niels will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 6 to 8 PM at Paul O’Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E, Scarborough, ON M1R 2Y8. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 12 PM with visitation from 11 AM until the time of service. A reception will be held at the funeral home immediately following the service, prior to the interment service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 2700 Kingston Road, Toronto, ON M1M 1M5.
