Teresa was born on August 4, 1932 in Campbellford, Ontario.
She was the youngest of seven children and raised on a dairy farm in Campbellford. Teresa did not want to continue with the family's farming tradition. So after high school, she went to St Joseph’s Hospital Nursing School in Peterborough and graduated in 1954 as a registered nurse.
She loved being a nurse and she especially enjoyed her work as a visiting nurse and as a Home Care coordinator.
Teresa was the beloved wife of Basil Darrah. Teresa and Basil were married for almost 64 years.
Loving mother of Cathy, Louise, Pat (Lyne) and Janet (Steve).
Grandma will be fondly remembered by her seven grandchildren; Katie, Daniel, Adam, Julia, Liam, Keara and Joel.
An excellent cook and baker, she made the best pies and butter tarts!
Teresa had many friends and loved to entertain in her younger years.
Teresa and Basil also travelled a lot and experienced many great vacations.
In her later years, she enjoyed reading biographies, the newspaper and watching her favourite TV shows.
She had a sharp wit and was always up to date on current events and pop culture.
Teresa was a very giving mom/grandma and always there to help and advise her children and grandchildren.
Campbellford was always with her in spirit and she enjoyed returning there every year to visit with family and friends.
Teresa will be deeply missed.
