Woodrow Eugene King, born on February 13, 1960, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024, at the age of 64. Woody, known for his warm smile and kind heart, lived a life filled with joy, love, and adventure.
Woody had a passion for the simple pleasures in life. He was an avid golfer, always eager to spend a day on the green. He also had a talent for baking, and loved wood working and creating things with his hands. Whether it was a friendly game of cards or an exciting travel adventure, Woody approached everything he did with enthusiasm and a positive spirit.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Darlene; his daughter, Janessa; his son in law Kevin; his son, Jonathan; his daughter in law, Amanda; his cherished grandchildren, Avery, Melina, Emilie, and Kayden; his brothers Sterling and Winston; his sister Christine; Sister in laws Lenore and Gabby; his brother in law, Ford. Woody's family meant the world to him, and he found great joy in spending time with his loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Woodrow's memory to the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre - Odette Cancer Centre, for all the amazing care he received during his fight.
A visitation for Woodrow will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Paul O'Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E, Scarborough, ON M1R 2Y8, followed by a visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
