Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Mrs. Wong was a graduate of the University of Washington and a graduate of Columbia University Teachers College. A classically-trained pianist from a musical family, she was a dedicated piano teacher in Scarsdale. She was an active member of the Scarsdale Congregational Church. Her children attended Scarsdale schools, local and New York City music schools, and are now practicing physicians who continue musical pursuits.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dr. Ting C. Wong, daughter Dr. Julia Wong and her husband Dr. Eric Cortell, and son Dr. Richard Wong and his wife Dr. Delphine Hu. She was the grandmother of Claudia and Vera Cortell, Andy and Charlie Wong.
A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Sat., Sept. 10, at Scarsdale Congregational Church.
