Norma Oronzio

Norma Oronzio (Davanzo), a resident of Eastchester passed away on September 17, 2014. Born in Mt. Vernon to the late Pietro and Genevra Davanzo. Married to the love of her life, the late Robert Oronzio. Loving mother of Glenn, Chris, Mark, Robert and Todd. Adored mother-in-law to Ginny, Amy, Tracy, Anthony and Carolyn. Sister of the late Fay Gotti, Dorothy Curran, Joseph, Raymond, Armando (Gene), Paris (Pat) and Richard. Loving Grandmother of Kyle, Kanya, Brett, Kori, Jake, and Casey. Great Grandmother of Beckett and cherished Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Norma worked for the Eastchester School District and volunteered for Eastchester Little League, Meals on Wheels, the Board of Elections and the AARP Local Chapter. She had a passion for music and dancing and performed at the Westchester County Center and many senior center communities. She brought much happiness and laughter to these venues with the Westchester Senior Chorale group. She brought this same happiness and love to her family and friends with her quick wit, her warmth and generosity.

Visitation will be held at the EDWIN L. BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, Scarsdale, on Sunday Sept 21, 2014, from 2-4PM & 7-9PM. Funeral Mass, Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014 at 10:30AM followed by burial at Beechwood Cemetery, New Rochelle, NY. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made in Norma’s name to the Town of Eastchester -Senior Programs 40 Mill Rd Eastchester NY 10709 or to the parkinsons foundation.
