

Robert J. DeSanto, lifelong Eastchester resident passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. He was blessed with 93 years of life and he left this world and the family he loved with everlasting memories, Robert was born on May 12, 1931 in Mt. Vernon, NY, and was a lifelong resident of Eastchester, NY.
Robert joined the Eastchester Police Department in 1954, and spent 35 years in law enforcement rising to the rank of Detective.
Robert always put family first and his world revolved around the love of his wife Domenica, who he married in 1955, who was known to all who knew her as Micky. He was the best father to his three children, Gregory, Stephanie & Christopher could have ever asked for, and one of his greatest joys was becoming a grandfather to Emily, Christian & Natalie, who forever were the apple of their papa’s eye.
Robert is survived by his loving spouse of 69 years, Domenica, his children Gregory (Karen), Stephanie and Christopher (Anja), his three grandchildren, his sisters Marie & Joanne, his brother Joseph and numerous cousins, nieces & nephews. Robert was predeceased by his parents Robert & Josephine and his brother Arthur.
Robert found great pleasure in watching sports, long Sunday drives, and listening to his favorite singer, Frank Sinatra. Robert had a wonderful singing voice and enhanced many family gatherings with his favorite selections from the Great American songbook.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held Wednesday April 2, 2025 at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home located at 824 Scarsdale Avenue, Scarsdale, NY 10583 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Parkinson Foundation (http://www.parkinson.org) in memory of Robert.
Robert will be forever remembered for his kindness, smile and love for family that he shared with the world he loved.
