Alvin G. Herr

Alvin G. Herr, 96, of Schaefferstown, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in Manor Care, Lebanon, PA. He was the husband of Elizabeth “Betty” Price Herr with whom he was married to for 73 years. He was born in South Lebanon Township on November 18, 1924, a son of the late Ephraim and Ella Griffe Herr. Alvin was employed for 42 years at Wilbur Chocolate Co. in Lititz. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith and loved working on cars, tractors and in his woodshop. He served in the US Army during World War II. Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter, Theresa Klinger wife of the late Ronald Klinger of West Reading; grandchildren, Greg Kreiser, Andrea Collazo and Jennifer Klinger; step grandchildren, Ronald Klinger and Tammy Klinger; nine great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mabel Bagenstose. Funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
