Dorothy V. Kurtz, 81, of Newmanstown, PA, died Monday, March 28, 2011 in her home. She was the wife of the late Ellis S. Kurtz. She was born December 26, 1929 in Terre Hill, PA a daughter of the late Irvin and Emma Redcay Sweigart. Dorothy and her husband owned and operated Kurtz’s Sawmill and she was a member of Mellinger’s Lutheran Church in Schoeneck. She is survived by children, Brenda Sites, Jay Kurtz, Darryl Kurtz, Darlene Kurtz and Norma Mays; grandchildren, Audrey, Cory, Michelle and Melody; brother, Paul I. husband of Joan Sweigart. She was preceded in death by a son, Glenn R. Kurtz. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 10:30 AM in the Clauser Funeral Home, N. Carpenter St., Schaefferstown, PA.
