Harry E. Boyer

Harry E. Boyer passed away peacefully surrounded by his beloved wife and family on June 28, 2017 at the Bob Fryer Hospice Inpatient Center, Mt Joy. Born April 24, 1932 to the late Harry E and Ada I Bohr Boyer. Harry was married 65 years to Alice E Strickler Boyer Nov 24, 1951. Mr. Boyer retired from the VA Medical Center, Lebanon, Pa after 25 years of service as a supervisor maintenance grounds keeper. He served his country in the US Navy aboard the USS Brownson during the Korean War. He was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, puzzling and the company of his pets.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children: Michael Boyer of Lancaster; Donna Boyer, wife of Randy Kimrey, Reading; Harry Lamar Boyer of Schaefferstown; Bambi, wife of Gregory Leisey, Schaefferstown; Dolores, wife of Robert Martin, Ephrata; Alice Ann, wife of John Mascarini, Myerstown and Paul Boyer of Reading; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; sister: Dolores McLaughlin of Watertown, N.Y; several nieces and nephews. Harry was predeceased by his brother: Lamar A. Boyer. A Memorial Service will be held in the Clauser Funeral Home Inc. 120 North Carpenter Street, Schaefferstown, PA, 17088 on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 7:00PM with a visitation from 6:00PM until the time of the service.
