Harry Smith

Harry Smith, 69, of Schaefferstown, died Saturday, November 3, 2012 in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara J. Murphy Smith with whom he was married to for 47 years.. He was born in Upper Darby, PA on June 18, 1943 a son of the late H. Karl and Lillian Coggins Smith. Harry was a former 20 year employee of Kellogg's of Lancaster. He was past president and zone chairman of the Heidelberg Lions Club. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and visiting his cabin in Sullivan County. Surviving in addition to his wife are children; Bradley husband of Kathy Smith and their daughter Sarah of Ephrata; Tracy wife of Drew Salzman and their daughter Katie of Shillington; Brian Smith of Schaefferstown; Mindy wife of Dan Peters and their son Ian of Mohnton. He was preceded in death by a sister, Karol Wenrich. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM in the Clauser Funeral Home, N. Carpenter St., Schaefferstown with a viewing beginning on Wednesday at 12:00 PM. Interment will be made in the Schaefferstown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the American Liver Foundation, 1341 N. Delaware Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19125.
