Kenneth Douglas Rogers

Kenneth Douglas Rogers, 78, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016 in the Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy A. Gibbel Rogers with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage. He was born in Great Barrington, MA on September 20, 1938, a son of the late Carl J. and Dorothy Jaquins Rogers. He was employed as a truck driver, delivery bakery supplies for Lentz Milling in Reading and also drove truck for Quality Drive-Away in Jonestown. Kenneth was a member of the Heidelberg Church of the Brethren in Myerstown and enjoyed traveling. Surviving in addition to his wife are children, David C. Rogers and wife Beverly A. of Manheim; Martha A. Gingrich and husband Joseph R. of Lebanon; Frederick D. Rogers of Hummelstown; Jonathan L. Rogers and wife Marcy L. of Sanford, ME; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Doris Nevius of Corsicana, TX; Carol Rogers of Torrington, CT; Suzanne Wichert of Frystown; Janet Wolf of Lebanon; brothers, James Rogers of Lebanon; Richard Rogers and wife Dorothy of Tylertown, MS. He was preceded in death by two stillborn children and brother, Thomas Rogers. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 11:00 am in Heidelberg Church of the Brethren, 162 E. Reistville Road, Myerstown, PA 17067, with a viewing beginning on Friday at 9:30 am. Interment will be made in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Heidelberg Church of the Brethren. Clauser Funeral Home, Inc. is handling his arrangements.
