Milford J. Hauck

Milford J. Hauck, 88, of Newmanstown, died Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in his home. He was the husband of Carolyn M. Kahl Hauck with whom he was married to for 18 years. He was born on March 6, 1927 in Heidelberg Township, Lebanon County, a son of the late William M. and Ida Hertzog Hauck. He was employed for 20 years at Miller & Hess Shoe Factory in Akron and retired after 18 years of service with Wilbur Chocolate, Inc. in Lititz. He was a member of the Elias United Church of Christ in Newmanstown. Milford enjoyed hunting, family picnics and gatherings, especially with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also an avid Phillies fan. Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Kenneth “Pinky” Hauck and wife Carol of Schaefferstown; Linda Sheetz and husband Logan of Richland; Dale Hauck and companion William Bitner of Cleona; Brian Hauck and wife Kelly of Schaefferstown; step children, Dawn Neider and husband Gary of Reinholds; Derek Sutherly and wife Kim of FL; Trina Brugger and husband Jeff of Denver; Lane Sutherly and wife Diane of Newmanstown; daughter in law, Patti Hauck of Newmanstown; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife Gloria Hauck; son, William Hauck; sisters, Josephine Wolfe, Ruth Koch and Marie Beamesderfer. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 26th at 11 AM in the Elias United Church of Christ, 9 N. Sheridan Road, Newmanstown, PA 17073, with a viewing beginning on Tuesday at 10 AM. Interment will be made in the Millbach Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Elias UCC or God’s Missionary Church, 2127 Hill St., Lebanon, PA 17046.
