Raymond M Hoover

Raymond M. Hoover, 79, Ephrata, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday January 5, 2023 in the Lincoln Christian Home. He was the husband of Verna L. (Horst) Hoover with whom he would have celebrated a 56th wedding anniversary in April. He was born in Ephrata on December 14, 1944 a son of the late Menno W. and Lizzie N. (Martin) Hoover. He was a member of Mountain View Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference. In addition to his wife he is survived by children: Janae L. wife of Glenn H. Martin, Myerstown; Christine J. wife of Nelson H. Martin, Lebanon; Lorene D. wife of J. Wesley Hoover, Lebanon; Karen M. wife of Melvin E. Sauder, Myerstown; 25 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother: Clarence M. husband of Elsie L. (Horst) Hoover, New Holland. He was preceded in death by a son: Kenneth H. Hoover and a sister: Mary Elizabeth Hoover. Viewing will be Wednesday from 2 to 4PM and 6 to 8PM in Midway Mennonite Reception Center 210 E. Lexington Rd., Lititz, PA 17543. Funeral will be Thursday at 9:30AM in Groffdale Frame Mennonite Church 40 Groffdale Church Rd., Leola, PA 17540. Please omit flowers.
