Raymond G. Zimmerman

Raymond G. Zimmerman, age 70, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Susan H. (Martin) Zimmerman. They had celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on July 29, 2013.

Born in Lancaster County, PA, on October 16, 1943, he was the son of the late John J. and Lena (Good) Zimmerman. He was a member of the Richland Mennonite Church. He enjoyed the dairy farm where he worked most of his life.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Charles R. husband of Susan M. (Weaver), Myerstown, PA; Cynthia F. wife of Gerald H. Zimmerman, Newmanstown, PA; Barbara S. wife of Mark P. Auker, Harrison, AR; Kathleen J. wife of Earl R. Horning, Myerstown, PA. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Ann, on October 2, 1986.

He is also survived by brothers, Melvin G. husband of Kathryn M. (Zimmerman), Richland, PA; Richard G. husband of Vera Mae (Martin), Lititz, PA; Ernest G. husband of Anna Ruth (Risser), Belle Rive, IL; Kervin G. husband of Janet (Hoover), Myerstown, PA; sisters, Mary Jane wife of Harry B. Martin, Myerstown, PA; Miriam wife of Harold B. Good, Stevens, PA; Martha wife of Lloyd Z. Snyder, Fredericksburg, PA; Erma wife of Clair G. Martin, Myerstown, PA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy and a sister, Anna Mae (Zimmerman) Lehman.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at 10 AM at Richland Mennonite Church, 399 North Race Street, Richland, PA 17087. Viewing will be on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Richland Mennonite Church from 1:30 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
