

Beloved husband for 66 years to wife, Dorothy. Devoted father to son, Scott and his wife, Sandra of Chester, VA.
Mr. Faulkner was Chairman of the Business Ed. Dept. at Scituate High School for 31 years until his retirement in 1985. He also started a successful driving school, which he and his wife continued for over 35 years, teaching hundreds of students from Scituate, Cohasset, Hull & other towns. After retirement, he kept active building several houses on the Cape, & of course, pursuing his love of fishing & clamming.
Les & Dorothy escaped the cold winters by spending time in West Palm Beach and summers in Prince Edward Island, Canada, where he was known for his beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. Mr. Faulkner was a graduate of Salem Teachers College, now called UMass at Salem, and earned two master’s degrees from Bridgewater State College. He served in the Navy in WWII & was assigned to the Joseph P. Kennedy where he shared bunk space with Bobby Kennedy, who, he recalled, was a “scrapper” back then.
Brother of Marjorie Meehan of Plymouth, Shirley Baker & husband David of Bridgewater, Carol Pakalnis & husband Richard of Plymouth and numerous nieces & nephews. Brother to the late Donald Faulkner.
Visiting hours Tuesday, August 26th from 4-7 PM at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd., Scituate. Funeral service at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Scituate Wed. Aug. 27th at 10 AM. Burial at the Cudworth Cemetery Veteran Section, Scituate.
