

Ann was born and raised in Dorchester, MA before moving to Scituate. She attended Fontbonne Academy in Milton before graduating from Boston College with a degree in Education. While there, she met her husband, Andrew. After marrying, they moved to several places due to Andrew’s military commitment. After his military retirement, Ann and family returned to Scituate when she obtained a Masters from Curry College and continued as an elementary school teacher, notably at Martinson School in Marshfield. After her retirement, Ann was kept busy by multiple grandchildren, being a devout parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, eating small roast beef subs from Maria’s, volunteering and regularly taking walks around her beloved Scituate Lighthouse.
Ann was the devoted wife of Andrew for over 44 years prior to his passing in 2013 and daughter of Louise and Francis McGuire. Loving mother of Christine O’Driscoll and her husband Michael of Biddeford, ME; Drew O’Brien and his wife Alison of Winchester, MA; Suzanne Stone and her husband Tom of Plymouth, MA and Peter O’Brien and his wife Alissa of Scituate, MA.
Ann was blessed with 10 cherished grandchildren: Michael, Patrick and Erin O’Driscoll, Quinn O’Brien, Caroline Stone and Addyson, Peter, Josephine, William and Charlie O’Brien.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-7pm on Monday, March 9th at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate , MA. A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St., Scituate Harbor will be held on Tuesday, March 10th at 10am; Interment will be in the National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s memory may be made to St. Mary’s Church or to Pine Street Inn, 444 Harrison Ave, Boston, MA 02118.
