

Anna Mae was born on January 16, 1928 to John E. O'Brien and Rose P. Reilly of Cambridge, Massachusetts.
On June 20, 1953 she married John Arthur Stefani of Dorchester, MA. Married 30 years, they had 6 children: Jeffrey J. Stefani (Karen Welch), Lisa Stefani Bell ( Steven Johnson), Mary Stefani, Kristen Stefani Houghton, Leslie Stenbeck (Lawrence Stenbeck) and John J. Stefani.
Anna Mae leaves 10 grandchildren ( Austin, Brendan and Jason Stefani, Joshua and Chad Houghton, Karl, Robert (Bobby) and Brad Stenbeck, Stefani Bell, and Danielle Platt-Diegues. Nine great grandchildren and two more blessings on the way. Her family also included 3 sisters, Margaret (Peggy) Costello, Helen Kelley, and Elizabeth (Betty) Savini, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Anna Mae lived a full life and was happiest surrounded by those she loved. She thrived in jobs and hobbies that kept her connected to others. She was a busy switchboard operator, a hairdresser, a shrewd card player, a seamstress, a talented knitter, a gourmet cook and baker, an avid beach goer, a crafter, and enjoyed a love for reading.
Her devotion to her Catholic faith provided both strength and peace.
A visitation will take place on October 21, 2023 from 8:30am-10:00am at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate MA. A funeral mass will follow at 10:30am at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate MA.
