A long-time resident of Marshfield with her deceased husband Donald Bates, Beatrice moved to Linden Ponds in 2014, where she had many friends. Her years at Linden were among the happiest of her life.
She passed at South Shore Hospital surrounded by the music she adored and the love of her family.
Beatrice was, is and always will be remembered, treasured and beloved. She lived and loved fiercely and fearlessly – with an iron will – a tender heart - and a deep connection to God and spirit. There will never be another like her. Sleep in peace my love. We will carry you with us every day.
Honoring her wish to be cremated, a memorial service will be held at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road in Scituate on Saturday, October 5th, 2019 at 11am, followed by a light reception.
If you wish, flowers may be sent to the Richardson Gaffey Funeral home in Scituate, MA.
If you would like to honor Bea with a donation, so great was her love of Linden Ponds and the safe and loving community they create for the elderly, she asked that any donations be made to the Linden Ponds Resident Care Fund, a fund set up to provide support to residents who, despite careful planning, outlive their financial resources. This Fund enables residents to remain at Linden Ponds, knowing they will always receive the care they deserve.
