Caroline Ann Cassidy

Longtime Scituate resident passed away after a brief illness surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife of Alan P. Cassidy, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.Born and raised in Dorchester, she was the daughter of the late Foster David and Helen Theresa Parsons. Caroline dedicated her life to helping others as a visiting nurse through the South Shore Visiting Nurse Association.

She was the devoted mother of Meghan T. Cassidy and her husband Bryan Peterson of Scituate and Michael A. Cassidy and his wife Marysel of East Boston. Cherished grandmother of Riley, Sofia and Daniela. Loving sister of David Parsons and his wife Judi of Plymouth, Dean Parsons and his wife Karen of Braintree, Richard Parsons and his wife Robin of Duxbury and the late Don Parsons. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Friends and family are welcome to join a Celebration of Caroline’s Life on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at PJ’s Country House, 227 Chief Justice Cushing Highway (Rte 3A) in Scituate MA. Memorial Mass on Monday, February 13th at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Pat Roche Hospice Residence.
