Charles “Chuck” Lynch Allard, age 59, peacefully passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on Sunday, January 19th. He was surrounded by his loving family. Chuck was a long-time resident of Scituate where he brought up his family and remained committed to his community.
Chuck is survived by his partner, Marce Livingston; his three sons, Chase, Owen, and Sam; his mother, Nancy Allard; his brother, Donald J. Jr., and his wife Margaret; his sister, Teri Abi-Saad and her husband Habib; and his sister, Sue. Chuck was a loving uncle to eight nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Donald J. Allard.
Chuck grew up in Winchester where he was a central figure in the town’s rich athletic traditions. He had many friends and teammates, serving as the captain of both his football and baseball teams at Winchester High School, Class of 1983. He continued his athletic prowess at Deerfield Academy, then Northeastern University where he graduated as the school’s All-Time home run and RBI leader.
Although Chuck enjoyed a successful business career in medical device sales, his true passion was his role as a proud Dad. A consistent presence in the lives of his three boys, he served as a mentor, coach, and fan of all their many sporting activities. This was the focus of his enjoyment.
Chuck also had a passion for the outdoors and was always ready for an adventure. He was a lifelong skier, an avid motorcyclist and a salty dog on the ocean. Chuck’s calm demeanor, unbounding kindness, and quick wit made him a lifelong friend to many.
As Chuck wished, there will be a “Celebration of Life” at 2pm on May 31st at the Scituate Beach Association located at 88 Scituate Ave. in Scituate, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the “Live Your Dash” Chuck Allard Project c/o Rockland Trust, 77 Front St. Scituate, MA. 02066
