Claire Ann O'Hara

She was preceeded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Dr. John F. O’Hara.

Devoted mother of Mary and her husband, Peter Babin, of Littleton, CO; Colleen and her husband, Sherwood Tondorf, of Williamsburg, VA; CAPT John F. Jr. and his wife, Gay, of Pensacola, FL; Judy Hall, of Peachtree City, GA; Patricia Petty of Williamsburg, VA; Sara (M.D.) and her husband, Jeff Betts, of Cincinnati, OH; and Tim and his wife, Gena, of Weymouth, MA. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Claire graduated from Brockton High School and Colby Sawyer College. Claire was a member of the Scituate Garden Club, the Scituate Harbor Yacht Club, and Hatherly Country Club. She was an avid bridge player. When Claire’s children were young she was a Girl Scout Leader, a CCD teacher, and active in PTA. Later, Claire enjoyed nothing more than traveling far and wide with John in their motorhome to visit their friends, children and grandchildren. Claire and John hosted many wonderful parties and enjoyed life together.

Claire loved, and was loved by, her entire family and her many friends.

Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, Scituate at 10 AM on Saturday, January 17, 2015. Burial to follow in Cudworth Cemetery, Scituate.
