Elaine Barrett

Born and raised in the St. Mark’s Parish of Dorchester, Elaine has been a Scituate resident for 50 years. She graduated from Archbishop Cushing H.S. in S. Boston. Elaine enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by 5 children; William of Scituate, Susan of Sutton, Louise Danahy of Kingston, Nancy of San Francisco, CA, and Brian of Honolulu, HI, a sister; Agnes Powers of Norwell, and 8 grandchildren; Allie and Mike Barrett, Kelly and Cameron Danahy, Kate and Matthew Grenier, and Ryleigh and Jackson Barrett. Elaine was sister of the late John Morris, Mary Meehan, and Patricia Kearns.

Funeral from the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate on Friday, Sept. 28th at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, Scituate at 10AM. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4-7PM. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Scituate.
