Joan C Gerbis

Joan (Cobleigh) Gerbis – 83, of Scituate passed away peacefully at her home on the afternoon of August 26th, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold E. Gerbis, with whom she shared more than 50 years of marriage.

Born in Nashua, NH, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Alberta (Bernier) Cobleigh.

She was the devoted mother of Carol Gerbis Sousa and her husband Fernando of Scituate, MA, Jay Joan Gerbis and her husband Charles Cullen of Scituate, MA, Harold E. Gerbis and his wife Jennifer of Scituate, MA, and Gerald C. Gerbis of Anna Maria Island, FL.

Cherished and proud “Meme” to 10 grandchildren: Nicholas Sousa, Andrew Sousa, Sara Sousa and her fiancé Kyle Powers, Dana Cullen, Victoria Gerbis, Harold Gerbis, III, Liam Ford, Patricia Gerbis, Gerald “Cobie” Gerbis and Stevie Gerbis.

Loving sister of Geralyn Kelley of Littleton, NH, and her late husband Guy, and the late Donald Cobleigh. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will take place at the Nelson Town Cemetery in Nelson, NH on Saturday Sept. 19th, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
