K. Ann McCluskey

Ann was born in Boston, daughter of the late William J. and Mary A. (Kelly) McCluskey. Ann graduated from Notre Dame Academy and Westfield State with a BS degree in education. She was class president and lettered in field hockey and tennis. Ann received her M.A. at University of CT and her JD law degree from University of Bridgeport. Ann retired after 40 wonderful years of teaching in East Hartford schools.

Ann fell in love with Nantucket as a teenager and later had a home there on Traders Lane where she spent many happy years welcoming family and friends.

Ann is survived by her brother Joseph L. McCluskey of Harwich Port, MA and many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Elizabeth Jane Woods of Scituate, her brothers William J. McCluskey Jr of Yarmouth, John (Jack) of Linwood, WA, James M. of Weymouth and her longtime friend Margaret (Marme) Lahey of Hartford, CT.

Ann’s family would like to thank North River Home Care and her devoted caregivers Kathy Locke and Rose Stanton.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St, Scituate Harbor with a funeral Mass beginning at 10:30 AM.
