Kenneth Robert Appleby

Born in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of the late Fred & Sylvia Appleby.

Kenneth most recently worked as Tax Attorney at Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Pompeo PC in Boston, MA. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University and later his Law Degree from American University in Washington, D.C.

His family was his greatest joy and he loved spending time with them skiing, golfing, hiking and biking. He had been a pilot since the age of 13. He and his wife Micki also began the chess clubs at the Scituate Public Schools.

He was the proud father of Matthew Appleby & his beloved Kristen Wade of Washington, D.C. and Alex Appleby of Scituate, MA. Loving brother of Paul Appleby & his wife Robin of Randolph, NJ and uncle to their daughters Melanie and Lauren Appleby. Loving brother-in-law to Sasha & Eriks Rancans of Cambridge, MA.

He is also survived by his beloved dog Oreo, and his cherished “granddoggers” Jasmine and Thelma. He will be met in Heaven by his late dog Aileron.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate, MA. Interment to follow at the Groveland Cemetery.
