Marilyn R. (Rooney) Ramsey, 82, formerly of Marshfield, MA, passed away February 9, 2014. Wife of the late Frederick W. Ramsey and daughter of the late William and Helen (Tighe) Rooney. Devoted mother of William G. Ramsey and Jayne R. Parker; sister of Helen Barry and the late William Rooney and Barbara Russell.
Marilyn retired as a clerk for the Dorchester Municipal Court and was a communicant of St. Christine’s Church.
Visitation will be held Friday, 4-7 p.m. in the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd., Scituate, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Christine’s Church, 1295 Main St. (Rt. 3A), Marshfield, MA. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Roxbury, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Massachusetts General Hospital Yawkey Cancer Center, 55 Fruit St., Boston, MA 02114.
